THE MULTIPLE LENSES OF STUDYING AND APPROACHING LEADERSHIP

Abstract This article discusses the multiple forms of studying and approaching leadership with a particular interest in recent theoretical empirical studies from Brazilian scholarship on topic. The reviews what we denote as three main lenses leadership: individual leader(ship), followership, collective leadership. article's typology epitomises essential view each lens its historical treatment. We use this discussion about to analyse scientific literature journals 2016 2021. systematic review 32 articles reveals emphasis first lens, focus leaders, normally those positions authority, idea that is vertical hierarchical activity rather than collectivistic phenomenon. concludes by highlighting opportunities for inquiry into more contemporary research organisations.
